BOAT OWNERS COMMENTARY:
Boating has been my only Love since I was nine years old.
My first boat was a row boat I bought for $50.00.
When I went to pick it up the next day with my friends and two wooden oil-crate wagons we had built, we could not find it.
I saw it tied to the dock yesterday, but, where had it gone?
The dock master said it was still there tied to the dock.
Taking a closer look, there it was six feet down tied to the dock.
Well, I owned the boat now, so let's drag it to shore and get it onto the wagons.
It was a three mile push from Coney Island to Bay 8th Street along the walkway on the Belt Parkway.
Well, that's how it all started.
Now I am going on 74 years, much to my dismay, I have my last boat up for sale.
No, I don't really want to sell my beautiful yacht, but, in reality, the captain can't function properly from a wheel chair.
I tried to get better for the past two years and get use her, but, reality has set in for me ...the day has come.
She originally cost the first owner a million bucks - with all the extras.
I bought it two years later and kept her like she was when we got her.
It was a happy day and has always been a happy day when with her.
We took her home from Maryland, stopped at Cape May to top the tanks, then off to home in Huntington with five guys on board.
We were all amazed at how little fuel we used - 40% left!
It was a rough ride in the Ocean with 10 to 15 foot waves, but she rode like a big bus and never did we have to use the windshield wipers.
It was a cold March day so we turned on the heat and piloted from the Lower Station ...a trip to remember.
I know that I am supposed to write a "Boat Commentary." I just don't think it is necessary.
If you have had any boating experience at all, the engineering and quality you see, will show you why this yacht range is totally separated from the rest.
For example. my Egg Harbor 40 had to have Stress Cracks repaired every year.
I defy you to find a single Stress Crack anywhere on this Sealine.
She is a beauty and runs like one.
If you know boats and would like to be impressed as I was, I will be happy to show you the things that impressed me on board and in person.
By the way, I just put $15,000.00 in all new Sunbrella canvas with Eizen Glass.
I also had installed new Winter Covers to keep her protected during the winter seasons.
So now it's up to you to fall in Love one more time.
