| | | | This 1978 Marine Trader Double Cabin Trawler is in good condition and has been lovingly cared for and maintained.
This boat has provided an "adventure of a lifetime".
She has cruised the Potomac River, Chesapeake Bay and the Intercoastal Waterway from Virginia to Florida and a couple of trips to the Bahamas.
Unlike some power boats, the trawler uses 2.0 gallons of diesel per hour.
It has a cruising range of approximately 1800 miles without refueling, 10 days without touching land, has two helms, new 16,000 BTU Air/heat system, 4k generator, ac/dc refrligerator with freezer, separate icemaker, twin stainless steel sinkcs, microwave, Coast Guard approved chemical/macerating sewer system for both heads, 11 gallon water heater, two showers and one tub.
One of the best days we had was when dolphins swam alongside in our wake for a long time.
Mostly, on our cruise from Virginia to Florida, we anchored out each night and if the anchorage was exceptional, we might stay a few days.
The command bridge is a 10 x 12 foot space with dining table, outdoor carpet, barbeque and outdoor furniture to seat six for nice meal.
With the four burner propane stove and oven in the galley, I even cooked a turkey dinner for thanksgiving.
We lived on the boat for one and a half years and were quite comfortable even when our two grandsons and other family visited.
After buying the boat, we added several features such as the icemaker and the a/c heating unit, new furniture, larger 11 gal. water heater, a dehumidifier 4 twelve volt DC8 batteries with Tru Charge battery charging system ( two batteries are for the house and two are dedicated to the engine) There is a 26 inche Flat panel TV and a direct tv dish on the boat, so you can watch with the generator when you are anchored.
We have replaced all pumps, had safety inspections and regularlly pulled the boat our of the water for bottom painting plus had a diver to replace the zincs and clean the prop on a regular basis.
Everything has been kept in good repair.
The boat is read to load up with food and supplies and take off into the sunset or sunrise, whichever your prefer.
