Step aboard my 1987 MAKO 261 and I will give you a brief tour.
I am the original owner, so I can answer all of your questions.
Starting from the STERN you’ll see the TWIN 2004-200 HP EVINRUDE VTEC’S mounted on an ARMSTRONG OUT BRACKET.
The MOTORS have 700 HOURS, a NEW POWERHEAD on the PORT ENGINE…and a transferable service agreement until May 2011.
The out bracket has made a “good ride” a “great ride” as a nice swimming…diving platform.
Now look at the CENTER CONSOLE…complete with all the gauges
(i.e.: radar – depth recorder – GPS)….new Bimini top and ALUMINUM OUTRIGGERS.
Go FORWARD and open up the console seat to see the 4 Batteries installed in 2007, the ACR 407 EPIRB(with a brand new battery) and mostly new wiring to insure everything works.
Looking FORWARD UNDER THE FULL CANOPY SPLASH COVER, there is plenty of seating as well as enough room to lie down.
Under the seats is plenty of storage for life jackets or supplies for a long passage.
Now, let’s take a Sea Trial.
Trim tabs down…throttles forward and we are up on plane quickly.
We can cruise comfortably @ 3,600 RPM or crank it up to 5,000 RPM…note as we get into 3-5 ft. seas or more, we are comfortable even in a following sea.
At 3,600 we get about 1.4 nautical miles per gallon of gas.
The boat is ready for fishing – diving or a family outing.
It is “turn key” and ready to enjoy.
