Grand Dame 1936 Chris Craft Custom Runabout, 25ft, model no 522.
Chrysler Hemi Imperial Marine engine model M-45 S, with sodium cooled valves, custom installation, very special!
Grand Dame is a jewel, a maintained original, to own with great pride.
1962- we found and purchased Grand Dame from a marina near new Haven, Ct, where she was quietly stored sometime after being delivered in 1936 near there.
The engraved plaque on her dash says she was especially built for JP Morgan Jr.
1962 to 1980- she was at our home in Plymouth, MA and she was shown in New York, New Hampshire and Thousand Islands, etc, where she won awards.
Always in fresh water, never in salt water.
1980- she moved with us to Lake Dora, Mount Dora, Florida, where she is considered a prized, maintained original.
Now as I near 90 years of age, it is time for Grand Dame to have a new owner and move on.
She is so rare and she runs like the wind, powerful, smooth and fast.
It is wonderful owning such a fine piece of Chris Craft history.
I am proud of her.
